How should Vyvanse be taken?
Vyvanse is a once-a-day capsule that should be taken in the morning with or without food as prescribed by your child’s doctor. If your child has trouble swallowing pills, Vyvanse capsules may be opened and the entire contents dissolved in a glass of water and taken immediately. The mixture should not be stored for later use.

What were some key findings about Vyvanse?
As measured using clinical tools, one Vyvanse capsule in the morning has been shown to provide consistent ADHD symptom control throughout the day—up to 12 hours—from school to homework and family time, even at 6 pm

Why is consistent ADHD symptom control so important?
You know your child has unique talents and abilities. ADHD symptoms shouldn’t prevent your child’s teachers and friends from seeing these talents and abilities, too. When your child’s ADHD symptoms are consistently controlled throughout the day, others may be able to see your child the same way you do.

What are the common side effects of Vyvanse?
In clinical studies, the most common side effects of Vyvanse were decreased appetite, difficulty falling asleep, stomachache, and irritability. The majority of these side effects were generally mild to moderate in severity, and occurrence decreased over time. It’s common to expect side effects when starting an ADHD medication. It’s important to talk to your child’s doctor about any side effects your child may experience.

Is Vyvanse available in different dosage strengths?
Yes, Vyvanse is available in three different dosage strengths of 30 mg, 50 mg, and 70 mg. This provides your child’s doctor with the ability to adjust the dose of Vyvanse to improve ADHD symptom control or manage side effects. Adjusting the dosage until it is right for the child is common when starting any ADHD medications.

What did parents report about Vyvanse in a clinical study?
In a clinical study with Vyvanse, parents reported that their children’s ADHD symptoms were controlled at approximately 10 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm, demonstrating consistent symptom control throughout the day.

How was Vyvanse clinically tested?
Vyvanse was tested in clinical studies that used several clinical tools, including the Conners’ Parent Rating Scale, PERMP, the ADHD-RS, CGI, and SKAMP. View the results of some of the clinical ADHD tools
